Frances Joanne Handley

Joanne Frances Handley, 70, Overland Park, KS passed away peacefully on Friday, April 9th at 4:30pm at Kansas City Hospice House with her family. Joanne was born on October 5th, 1950 to Walter and Harriette (English) Handley in Kansas City, Missouri. Joanne attended Shawnee Mission North High School and graduated in 1968. She is survived by her son (Jason A. Gorman), daughter, (Lindsay A. Gorman), her brother (Robert L. Handley), sister (Judy A. Copple) and her two grandchildren (Zachary L. Gorman and Myles A. Gorman).

In her personal life, Joanne was a realtor who also enjoyed rehabbing and decorating homes. She enjoyed nothing more in life than being surrounded by her friends and family and watching her grandchildren grow up. She will always be remembered for how much joy and happiness she brought to everyone she knew in her life.

A celebration of life service will be on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 11:00am at Church of the Resurrection Downtown at 1601 Grand Ave. Kansas City, MO 64108. The service will also be live streamed for those who wish to attend virtually:
