Frances Marie Jones

Frances Marie Jones, 86, of Shawnee, KS, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018 in her home.

She was born January 7, 1932 to Rachel and Marvin Davis of Braymer, MO. She was a life long resident of Shawnee, KS with her late husband Bud Jones. They enjoyed camping and boating at Lake Perry where they made many good friends. Frances was retired from Med James Insurance in Overland Park, KS. She was very much a home body where she enjoyed watching the birds and spending time with her dog Molly. She enjoyed playing games, especially cards and spending time with her family. Frances is preceded in death by her husband Bud and her son Ron Jones.

Frances is survived by her daughter, Terrie Stanker and her husband Jim; son Roger Jones; daughter-in-law- Sondra Jones; three grandchildren, Nikki Dawkins, Jackie, Luke Stanker and his wife Meagan; two great-grandchildren, Dalton Dawkins and Kalyn Wood; two nieces, Lisa Brown and Kelly Hill; and one nephew, Matt Davis.

A visitation will be held on Sunday from 5-7 pm at Amos Family Funeral Home.  Services will be at 1:30 pm on Monday at Amos Family Funeral Home. Burial at Johnson County Memorial Gardens in Overland Park, KS.
