Frances Thorla, 95, passed away December 10, 2012, at the Meadowlark Hills Honstead House in Manhattan, Kansas. Frances was a longtime resident of Shawnee and a member of the First Baptist Church of Shawnee.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Thorla Sr., and Paul's son, Paul Thorla Jr. She is survived by one daughter, Sharron (Brian) Hobbs , Manhattan, Kansas; one son, Ken (Linda) Belcher, Olathe, Kansas; June Hannahan, daughter of Paul Thorla, Sr., Kansas City, Kansas.
Frances was a grandmother to three grandsons, Jay (Anne) Belcher, Gardner, Kansas, Ian (Cynthia) Hobbs Kansas City, Missouri, and Trevor Hobbs, Mission, Kansas.; one granddaughter, Kim Belcher of Olathe, Kansas; three great grandsons, Nicholas and William Belcher and Dayne Kisler; one great granddaughter, Dalaynee Kisler.
Graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 17, 2012, at Johnson County Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
