Frances I. “Susie” Vielhauer

Frances I. Vielhauer, 86, of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away, Friday, July 6, 2012 at the Sweet Life at Rosehill.

Frances was born in Riverside, Illinois. She married Arthur "Pete" Vielhauer on August 17, 1946, in Riverside, Illinois, and they made their home in Shawnee. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Shawnee Keenagers, and the Thursday Night Marching Trombone Society.

Her husband, Pete, died in 1999. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her children, Irene (Stan) Davies, Artie (Ruth Ann) Vielhauer, Gracie (Darrell) Roche', Alice (Roy) Sheldon, Laura (Al) Klempnauer, and Joe Vielhauer; 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6 - 8 p.m., Monday, July 9, 2012, at the Amos Family Funeral Home & Crematory where the Rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.
