Francesco Brunetti

Francesco “Frank” Brunetti left us on July 20, 2024 at the age of 81. He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Vittoria Brunetti of Kansas City, KS, children, Rene Brunetti and wife Jennifer, Daniela Randall and husband Tyler, and Sabrina Noravong and husband Dom all of Shawnee, KS. He is also survived by his grandchildren Dominick Brunetti, Cecelia Brunetti, Aidan Randall, Vincenzo Noravong, Vittoria Noravong, Sofia Brunetti, Noah Randall and Francesca Noravong. 

Frank grew up in Mola di Bari, Italy. He joined the Italian Navy at the age of 18 where he learned to cook. After serving his country he moved to Brooklyn, NY with Vittoria in 1971. He opened a sandwich shop before deciding to move to Kansas City, KS to open Italian Delight with his friend Joe Avelluto in 1977. Through the restaurant Frank became a staple in KCK and a much loved member of the community. From employees to customers, many considered him a friend. He was a unique man with a big personality that drew people to him. There is no one like him and he will be greatly missed by many but especially by his family. He was a devoted family man who would do anything to make sure his family were taken care of and happy.

There will be a visitation to honor Frank on July 23, 2024 from 6-8pm at Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Dr. Shawnee, KS 66203. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
