Francis Elmer Hund

Francis Elmer Hund, 84, Overland Park, Kansas passed away Monday, April 13, 2009 at the Menorah Medical Center, Overland Park, Kansas.

Elmer was born September 17, 1924 in Paxico, Kansas to Moritz and Mary Ann (Fry) Hund. On June 25, 1966 he married Elizabeth Knoebber in Wamego, Kansas. Elmer was employed with the Caterpiller Tractor Co. for over 30 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

Elmer was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers. Survivors include his wife, Betty Hund; two daughters, Lisa Lattan and husband, Paul, and Mary Emanuel and husband, Brett, all of Kansas City, Missouri; and three grandchildren.

Visitation and Funeral Service

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 16 at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church; entombment in the Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call from 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee, where a rosary recitation will be 6:00 p.m.
