Frank E. Young

Frank Young, 89, Merriam, Kan., passed away Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011 at his home.

He was born Oct. 27, 1921 in Union City, Ind., to Leo and Clara (Chase) Young. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years Martha Jane, his parents and a brother.

He is survived by sons Rodney L. (Marsha) Young of Atlanta, Ga; David M. (Marcia) Young of Shawnee, Kan.; grandchildren Heather, Richard (Tami) and Brian (Amy); step-grandchildren, Steven, Richard (Brandi) and Duane; six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Frank served in World War II as a naval aviator and then spent over 30 years flying for TWA Airlines.

Services

A private service will be held at Ft. Leavenworth Memorial Cemetery, Ft Leavenworth, Kan., Sept. 8, 2011.
