Franklin A. Dupree

Franklin Allen DuPree passed away on January 11th, 2014. He was born on April 17th 1946 in Kansas City, KS to George and Jovita Lopez. He is preceded in death by his parents, and 3 siblings. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Dupree (Belton, MO), Brother Albert Lopez (Rachel) of Shawnee Mission, KS, Brother George Lopez (Louise) of Peculiar, MO, Sister Ester Gantz (Michael) of Lytle, TX, and Sister Bertha Lawson (Jerry) of Paola, KS. His children are Katy Westlund (Andy) of St. Cloud, MN, DJ Dixon (Krissy) of Kansas City, KS, Elisha Reed (Jeff) of Gardner, KS, Eric Wilbers (Rachel) of Butler, MO. He also has 10 grandchildren.

Frank was a member of the United States Army. He was a firefighter with the Kansas City, KS firefighters, a police officer for the Kansas City, KS police department, and worked for the United State Postal Service.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 19th at the Amos Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12:00-1:00 p.m.. Burial with military honors will be at Leavenworth National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday January 21st. All who are attending the burial are asked to be at Amos Funeral Home no later than 11:20AM on the 21st in order to be escorted to the Cemetery.
