Fred W. Kellerman, 90, passed away on December 2, 2008 surrounded by his family. His death was attributable to complications from ALS and Parkinsons.
He was born September 15, 1918 in Kansas City, Missouri to Joseph and Mary Kellerman, the eighth of nine children. Fred attended Cathedral grade school and graduated from De La Salle High School. He was a member of Saint Agnes parish for over 60 years. Fred was a furniture salesman/interior decorator his entire life and worked at a number of local stores, the most recent being Cousin's Furniture.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary; four sisters, Josephine, Anne, Theresa, Marie; four brothers, Joe, Louis, John, Henry; infant grandson, Kyle. Fred is survived by his wife of 64 years, Josephine; his sons: Larry (Chris), Robert (Nancy), Ronald, Dennis (Elaine), Patrick (Jo Ellen), Stephen (Janis), Kevin (Margaret), Brian (Karen), Timothy (Nancy) and Sean and daughter Sue Bussjaeger (Dave). Also surviving are 25 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and sister-in-law, Joyce Kellerman. Fred will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to express its appreciation to Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas/Hospice for their support. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Agnes Church.
Visitation and Funeral Service
Services will start with a Rosary at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 6 at Saint Agnes Church: 5250 Mission Road, Roeland Park, Kansas. Visitation will follow from 9-11 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow visitation. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, Kansas.
