Fred D. Steinmetz

Fred Steinmetz, 72, of Lenexa, KS passed away on December 5th, 2018.  He was born on October 31st, 1946 in Valley Falls, KS.  Fred grew up in Valley Falls, KS and attended Pittsburg State University.  He worked at Ford Motor Company for over 35 years and was an active member of Lenexa Lion's Club for 30 years.  Fred and his wife celebrated 48 years of marriage in May of 2018.  Some of his favorite hobbies included driving his John Deere tractor, watching KU basketball games and attending his grandkids sporting events.  Fred is preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by his wife, son, daughter and three grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 11th from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 11311 Johnson Dr., Shawnee, KS 66203.  A rosary will be prayed at 9:30 AM.  Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30 AM.
