Fredrick S. Holtmeyer, 82 Shawnee, Kansas, passed away Monday, May 11, 2009 at home.
Fred was born November 3, 1926 in St. Elizabeth, Missouri to Katherine O. Franken and Theodore George Holtmeyer. Fred served in the United States Army during WW II. Following his discharge from the Army Fred found employment with Fairbanks, Morse, and Colt Industries where he was employed for 39 years until his retirement in 1992.
Fred is survived by his wife Bonnie of the home, one son Mike (Dana) Holtmeyer Tonganoxie, Kansas; one daughter Katherine (Skip) Woods, Olathe, Kansas; one grandson Stephen Woods Olathe, Kansas; three brothers and three sisters.
He will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Visitation and Funeral Services
Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 16, 2009 at The Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday at the chapel. Burial will follow in Antioch Pioneer Cemetery Merriam, Kansas.
