Frieda Van Walleghem, 87, of Shawnee, passed away Thursday morning, May 15, 2014, at Shawnee Gardens.

Frieda was born July 1, 1926 to the late Ernest and Melissa Conn in Merriam, Kansas. Frieda is survived by her two daughters, Sharon Dusselier and husband Jim; Valeria Koerner and husband Ron; five grandchildren, Alesia McAnany and husband Tim; Lauri Dusselier; Jeff Dusselier and wife Megan; Marci Joyce and husband Joe; Gena Koerner; five great grandchildren, Logan, Evan, Ellie, Jameson, Gwen; two sisters, Marge Garner and Jean Ward.

Frieda is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Joseph "Sonny" Van Walleghem; a daughter, Cynthia Van Walleghem; four sisters, Marie Vanlerberg; Elizabeth Swanson; Ada Martin; Mary Zarda; three brothers, Raymond "Pat" Conn; Carl Conn and Elmer Conn.

Visitation and Services

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 20 at the Amos Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
