Gary David Cline

Gary David Cline, 69, of Kansas City, KS passed away January 21st, 2022 surrounded by his family.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 26th, 2022 at the Amos Family Funeral Home in Shawnee, KS.

Gary was born November 13th, 1952 in Kansas City, KS to William and Agnes Cline.

He was a lifelong Kansas City, KS resident and worked for 36 years for the Board of Public Utilities. He started in 1971 as a groundman and worked his way up the ranks to becoming Superintendent of Electric Distribution. He married his wife Elaine in 1975, and they went on to have two children.

Gary retired 15 years ago and has enjoyed spending time with his family, relaxing and fishing at their lake house. He was a regular attendee at his grandchildren’s sporting events (unless they went past 7 p.m.). Gary was always on the move and willing to lend a helping hand to anyone.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents; four siblings, Dwight “Sonny” Cline, Phyllis Wheeler, William Cline and Raymond Cline.

He is survived by his wife Elaine, daughter Robin and husband Randy Conner and son Matt Cline; grandsons Carson and Preston Conner; and siblings Lucille Boettge, Rosalie Scott, Terry Cline and Mary Hagerty.
