Gary M. Schemm

Gary Michael Schemm, 65, of Shawnee, KS, died Aug. 7, 2016. He was born Aug. 11, 1950, in Wichita, KS but lived most of his life in Shawnee, KS. Gary graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School in 1968, and then attended the University of Kansas, where he graduated with a BA in 1972. He worked as a programmer/analyst until 1997. Gary was a member of the Jayhawks Society, Watkins Society and a life member of the KU Alumni Association. He is survived by his brother, David A. Schemm; sister in law, Dianne M. Schemm; 4 nieces, Kristie M. Jeffers, Ashley E. Smith, Jennifer N. Nordin and Stephanie A. DuPree.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Amos Family Funeral Home.
