George F. Becker died peacefully on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at Lakeview Village in Lenexa, Kansas. He and his wife have lived there for 19 years.
George was the son of George J. Becker and Katherine Ohmes Becker. George was self employed for most of his adult life. He leaves behind his loving wife of 68 years, four children: Suzanne Chelesnik and husband Dave, a son who preceeded him in death, Richard and a daughter-in-law Kay Becker; John Robert (Bob), Kathy Sokol and her husband Alex. Grandchildren Jon and Amy Chelesnik; Debbie Chelesnik, Karen Schuster and husband Randy, Sharon Grigg's and husband Gary; Theresa Becker, Brian Becker, Justin Sokol and his wife Nanoo; and great-grandchildren Casey Schuster, Shaun Schuster, and Ryan David Chelesnik.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Olathe Medical Center Hospice or Lakeview Village Care Center in Lenexa, Kansas
Memorial Service
Cremation is planned with memorial mass to be held at 10 a.m. Monday, December 15 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Private family entombment will follow.
