George William Sinclair, 89, Shawnee, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at the Cypress Springs Assisted Living, Overland Park, Kansas.
George was born April 3, 1924, in Troy, Kansas, to Frank and Emma (Reder) Sinclair Kerns. He was a veteran of the US Army during WWII. He was employed with Bill Sight Chevrolet and Hal Quinn Buick GMC for many years, retiring in 2001.
George was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Sinclair on December 20, 2002, and four siblings, Francis Sinclair, Mary Morgan, Edwin Sinclair and Grace Dare.
Survivors include his daughter Susan Shields and husband, Jim, Shawnee, Kansas; son, Kenneth Sinclair and wife, Rosemarie, Kansas City, Kansas; two step-grandchildren, Justin Shields and Wendy Shields; three step-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, June 14, 2013, at the Amos Family Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 15, 2013, at the funeral home; burial in the Resurrection Cemetery.
