Georgine Margaret Halfmann, 100, of Shawnee, KS passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Brookdale Rosehill.

Georgine was born February 22, 1920 to the late William and Elizabeth Pagel in Fond du Lac, WI. She worked as a hairdresser for Mrs. Freund in her hometown for many years. On May 25, 1946, Georgine married Gerald Halfmann and started her life as a wife and mother.    While her children were in high school, Georgine managed Crouch's Supermarket.

Georgine is survived by her daughter, Sandy Postle and husband Randy; six grandchildren, Andrea Postle; Amy Bonselaar and husband Brian; Adrianne Black and husband Mike; Brendan Postle; Sara Halfmann; Chris Halfmann; six great grandchildren, Logan Shumway; Sully Cooper; Luke and Alex Bonselaar; Cody Postle; Alexis Gabbert; great great granddaughter, Charlotte Stallsworth; great great grandson, Greyson Shumway; a sister, Virginia M. Toll;  She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald and son, Thomas Halfmann; two sisters, Dorothy Pagel-Bauer; Alvina Pagel-Manthey and brother, Harold W. Pagel.

Services

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 21, 2020 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 8311 W. 93rd Street, Overland Park, KS 6620.   The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
