Gerald L. Heathman

Gerald Heathman, 84, of Lenexa, KS passed away on July 20th, 2019. He was born on December 9th, 1934 in Kansas City, KS to Carl and Mabel Heathman.  Gerald served in the US Air Force from 1953 to 1958. Following his years of service, Gerald went on to work at KPL Gas Service for 38 years and retired in 1995. In 1959, Gerald met Connie Owens and they were married on October 2nd, 1960. They established a family with their three sons, Jerry, Gary and Jamie. He was very involved with his sons sports and activities growing up. Gerald loved to travel with his family, spend time with his grandkids and was always good at making people laugh. He was very committed and loyal to his family, always putting them first and will be dearly missed. Gerald is survived by his wife Connie of 58 years; sons, Jerry (Gayle), Gary (Lois) and Jamie (Kim); grandchildren, Kelli, Kyle, Ryan, Lindsay, Kayla, Tyler and Trae; and great-grandchildren, Lexi, Blaine and Camden.

A visitation will take place on Thursday, July 25th from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, KS 66203. A memorial service will immediately follow at 7:00 PM. Military honors for Gerald will follow the memorial service.
