Gerald D. Jepson

Gerald D. Jepson, 88, of Prairie Village, Kansas passed away November 11, 2009.

Gerald was born April 6, 1921 in Soldier, Kansas to Irvin and Miriam Onion Jepson. He graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in business. Gerald served in the US Army during WWII. He was district director of the Small Business Administration before his retirement in 1979. He was united in marriage on July 26, 1947 to Evelyn I. Osborn. She preceded him in death on April 9th 1996. He was also preceded in death by a brother Dale Jepson and a sister Doris Jepson. Gerald was a member of Overland Park Christian Church, enjoyed traveling with his family and was an avid train collector.

He is survived by his son Dwight Jepson (Kathy), of Topeka, Kansas; 2 daughters Linda Thompson (Stuart) of Olathe, Kansas, and Mary Schmidgall (Warren) of Topeka, Kansas; grandchildren, Eric, Josh, Nate, Seth, Ami, Heidi, Eric, and Sam; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Visitation and Funeral Service

Services will be held Friday, November 13, 2009 at Overland Park Christian Church, 7600 W. 75th Street, Overland Park, Kansas with a visitation from 12-1:00 pm, and a service following at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Johnson County Memorial Gardens 11200, Metcalf, Overland Park, Kansas.
