Gerald Norman Serum

Gerald (Jerry) Norman Serum, 80, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away October 28, 2013.

Jerry was born December 14, 1932, in Mondovi, Wisconsin, to Melvin Serum and Adelia (Averbeck) Serum. A lifelong salesman, he served in the US Navy during the Korean War as a proud Shop Keeper, Second Class. Jerry enjoyed spending time with his loving wife, his grandchildren, and his three dogs Doogie, Marley, and Sophie. He loved reading, gardening, vacuuming, and dusting.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Rosemary (McCann) Serum; brother and sister in-law Harris and Arleen Serum; daughters Cindy Serum and her partner Ruth Jennings, Deborah (Serum) Kelly; sons Michael Serum and his wife Laura (Steffens) Serum, Jeffery Serum and his wife Karen (Shebek) Serum, and Steven Serum and his wife Tina (Lyons) Serum; and twelve grandchildren, Jennifer Kelly, Matthew Kelly, Alexandra Serum, Logan Serum, Brendan Serum, Nicholas Serum, Sarah Kelly, Michael Kelly, Justin Serum, Kaelyn Serum, Brady Serum and Mason Serum.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Gladys Serum. Jerry passed away peacefully surrounded by family and is now with our Lord.
