Gerald Timothy Sesto

November 18, 1964 — September 19, 2011

Gerald (Jerry) Timothy Sesto, 46 of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, September 19, 2011, in Tulsa.

Jerry was born on November 18, 1964, in Omaha, Nebraska. He was the son of Audrey K. Sesto and Thomas A Sesto, both of Omaha, Nebraska. He attended Shawnee Mission Northwest ’83-home of the Cougars. He met his best friends there and truly considered them family. They were his rock and his support system. His high school football dream continued after college graduation from KU.

Football was always his passion and remained so up until his final days. He coached football in Tulsa where he enjoyed learning about his players and coaching them not only on the field, but off in life. The players respected Jerry and appreciated his “pep” talks. He was excellent at making people feel their best and giving them the confidence they needed.

His love didn’t stop on the field as he was always up for a hometown visit with his friends and family. Bringing donuts, flexing his muscles and giving his “Jer” bear hugs were among his specialties. His love will be missed by all.

Jerry leaves behind four brothers, Anthony, Michael, Thomas (Grace), Joseph (Leah); sister Karen (Jeff) Oddo; nieces and nephews Kari, Joey, Jared, Drew, Romano, Savannah, Alyssa and Olivia; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, and a son, Adam (Nichole) Reed and granddaughter, Gia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a scholastic fund set up for Jerry’s grandaughter, Gia. Please make checks payable to:
