Gerald L. Stanley

Gerald L. Stanley, 75, Shawnee, KS passed away peacefully Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017 at his home.

Jerry was born Nov. 2, 1942 in Aberdeen, SD to Lyle and Emma Stanley. Following graduation from South Dakota State, Jerry began working with Control Data in Minneapolis, MN. On Sept. 3, 1966, Jerry married Karen Hageman in Comfrey, MN. In 1987 they moved to Kansas City where he started with Commerce Bank until retirement.

Jerry enjoyed woodworking and was a member of the Kansas City Woodworking Guild.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 51 years, Karen Stanley; son, Scott (Jaime) Stanley, Richfield, MN; daughter, Jennifer (Alan) Singer, Whitefish Bay, WI; sister, Mary (Jack) Froiland, Anchorage, AK; and two grandchildren, Annabelle and Felix Singer, Whitefish Bay, WI.

Visitation will be 10-11:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 18 at the Atonement Lutheran Church, 9948 Metcalf Ave.
