Gerald A. Stevens

Gerald A. Stevens, 82, 0f Gladstone, MO, passed away, Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Maple Woods Care Center.

Gerald was born in Ft. Wayne, IN. He served in the Navy and was a former Illinois State Trooper. He worked for the Clark Equipment Company before purchasing Lift Truck Sales & Service in 1980 with his former partner, Conrad Maslowski. His sons continue to own and manage the company today. Gerald will be remembered as a great family man, dedicated father, and successful businessman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Lucille Stevens. He is survived by his companion, Jan Alexander; his children, Julie (Ray) Bigam, Jeff Stevens, Bill (Kelli) Stevens, Bob (Robyn) Stevens, and Ann (Jeff) Chaffee; his grandchildren, Susie Chaffee and Dean Chaffee; his siblings, Harry Stevens, Jimmy Stevens, and Delores Christiansen.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m., Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church preceded by a visitation at 9:30 a.m. at the church. The family suggests contributions to Great Plains SPCA, 5428 Antioch Dr., Merriam, KS 66202.
