Gerry Roberts, 80, of Shawnee, Kansas,, passed away, Thursday, January 30, 2014, at Kansas City Hospice House with her family at her side.

She was born in Kansas City, Kansas, and attended Blessed Sacrament Grade School and Ward High School. She was a longtime member of Christ the King Parish before moving to Lenexa in 1993 and joining Good Shepherd Church in Shawnee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Anna and Leonard O. Smith and her two brothers, Harold and Leonard E. Smith.

Gerry is survived by her husband of 60 years, George Roberts; a daughter, Kathy Niese; a son, George Roberts, Jr.; and twin grandsons, Austen and Bret Niese.

Visitation and Funeral Mass

Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m., Sunday, February 2, 2014, at Amos Family Funeral Home, where a Rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 12 noon, Monday, February 3, 2014, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church with burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
