Geraldine Willis

Geraldine Willis, 89, of Overland Park, KS passed away Wednesday, June 05, 2019 at Villa St. Francis. Gerry was born on July 11, 1929 in Milan, Missouri to Sam and Gertie (Fuller) Vaughn and was named after her Uncle Gerald. She was a country girl at heart, riding her horse to school and surviving the depression. She graduated from Milan High School in 1947. Gerry loved sewing, dancing, and planning parties for her children. She also loved being outside. Gerry was a kind and gentle soul, always there for her loved ones.  She was preceded in death by her parents. She leaves behind her best friend and husband of 37 years, Leroy Willis; her children, Phyllis Bowman, Vickie Ghadyani, and Charles Craig Rutherford; her step-children, Rhonda Bernal, Janet Nauman, Mitchell L. Willis, and George Kevin Willis; her 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

A visitation will begin Tuesday, June 11 from 1:00-2:00 pm with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm at Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson drive, Shawnee, Kansas 66203. Burial will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
