Gerry M. Carter, 59, Overland Park, Kansas, beloved father, devoted husband, and dear brother, retired U.S. Marine and masonry contractor died November 30, 2011, at his home.
Gerry was a masonry contractor while serving his last 13 years in the Marine Corp Reserves. He was also very proud to be a 1974 graduate of the University of Kansas.
Survivors include his wife, Terri Jennings; two daughters, Christina Flores, Overland Park, Kansas and Stephanie McCullough, Omaha, Nebraska; step-daughter, Cassandra Jennings; step-son, Jon Jennings, both of Overland Park, Kansas; sister, Bonnie Kane, Roeland Park, Kansas; and five grandchildren, Jesse, Mae-Lin, Logan, Liam and Aryanna.
Memorial visitation will be 6-8:00 pm, Friday, December 2, 2011, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee, where a Rosary recitation will be said at 7:00 pm. Memorial Mass will be 10:00 am, Saturday, December 3, 2011, at St. Agnes Catholic Church. Cremation.
