Ginger L. Michael, 62, of Olathe passed away Thursday, November 8, 2012, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Ginger was born October 3, 1950, in Kansas City, Kansas, to the late Darell and Joy Dobbins. Ginger was a florist for over 30 years. She owned and operated a floral shop, Seasonal Designs, in Olathe before retiring in 2005. She loved spending time outdoors with her family fishing and camping. Her favorite times were spent canning the bounty of her garden and preparing family meals.
Ginger is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Ray Michael; a son, Steven Michael and wife Tracey; two daughters, Kerry O'Dell and husband O.G.; Diane Phillips and husband Jerry; a sister Kim Parrish and husband Paul; a brother Darell Dobbins, Jr.; seven grandchildren, Osten, Grace, Keegan, Westen, Opal, Kaycee and Erin.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, November 11, 2012, at the Amos Family Funeral Home and Crematory. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, November 12, 2012, at the funeral home, burial will follow services in Paragould, Arkansas.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association-Heart of America Chapter, 3846 W. 75th Street, Prairie Village, Kansas 66208.
