Gladys A. Smith, 96, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away Saturday, August 1 at Overland Park Nursing and Rehab.

Gladys was born February 23, 1919 to the late Mary D. Holland and Herbert Emery in Hutchinson, Kansas. On February 9, 1946 she married Ebert "Smitty" Smith. He preceded her in death in 1974. She is also preceded in death by her brother Eugene; and sisters, Vangie Griffey and Jean Halsey. Gladys is survived by two nieces, Patricia Barnes and Michelle Green; a grandniece and two grandnephews.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 6th at Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Dr., Shawnee, KS 66203. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday, August 7 at Ft. Leavenworth Nation Cemetery.
