Glee Odean Freeman, 88 year old resident of Doniphan, MO and former resident of the Shawnee, KS area departed this life Thursday, February 7, 2019 in Doniphan, MO.

Mrs.  Freeman was born February 24, 1930, in Oregon County, MO to the late Henry and Eula Carson Pippin.  She had worked for several years in the Meat Department at Safeway, and later managed Taco Via.  Mrs. Freeman loved crocheting, reading, and especially enjoyed her dogs.

In February of 1949, she was married to Albert "JR" Freeman, who preceded her in death July 29, 1989.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, Gary Freeman; and brothers Bob and C.H. Pippin.

Surviving is 1 son, Jimmie Freeman of Lake Wales, FL; sisters, Mary Helen Pigg of Doniphan; Shelbia McGonigal of Doniphan; 4 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 13th at the Amos Family Funeral Home in Shawnee.  Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Shawnee Mission Memory Gradens.
