Glenna R. Ebbert

February 9, 1937 — July 28, 2021

Glenna Ruth Zuck Ebbert, 84, Shawnee, KS, died July 28, 2021. Born in McPherson, KS, Feb. 9, 1937, to Joe Myers Zuck and Ruth Darlene Hawbaker. She had two siblings, Wayne J. Zuck (Randine) and is survived by Dr. Gary Dean Zuck (Connie) of Prairie Village, KS. In 1956, Glenna married Charles C. Ebbert who preceded her in death by 8 months.

She was the family matriarch rich on traditions, raising 3 children on the farm in western Kansas; Charles Eugene (Jeanie) Shawnee, KS, Scott Douglas (Debbie) Salina, KS, and Janice Ruth Black (Chuck), Topeka, KS. Glenna was a school teacher for many years, most of which was kindergarten and first grade at Rhein Benninghoven Elementary. She was very involved in many roles and activities at Bristol Hill United Methodist Church. Her hobbies included quilting, needlepoint, traveling and was an avid golfer during the winter months in Yuma, AZ. She was most passionate about the time spent with her 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and many lifelong friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, July 30, at Amos Family Funeral Home 10901 Johnson Dr. Shawnee, KS 66203. Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life in which both Glenna and Chuck will be celebrated on Saturday, July 31, at 10:00 a.m. at Bristol Hill United Methodist Church 4826 County Line Road Kansas City, Kansas 66106. A luncheon will be served directly following services. Burial will take place at 3:00 p.m. at Johnson County Memorial Gardens 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, Kansas 66210.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Olathe Health Hospice House 15310 Marion Street, Olathe, Kansas 66061 or Bristol Hill United Methodist Church 4826 County Line Road, Kansas City, Kansas 66106.
