Gloria Lucille Collier

February 6, 1926 — October 15, 2008

Gloria Lucille Collier, age 82 of Shawnee, Kansas passed away October 15, 2008.

She was born February 6, 1926 in Chula, Geogia to Nicholas and Tommy Ruth Womack. Gloria was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Overland Park, Kansas where she served for many years on the hospitality committee. She was also a past president of the Shawnee Historical Society.

Gloria is survived by her husband of 63 years Clinton P. Collier Jr., her three children: Charlene Richardson, Kathy Wade, and Clinton P. "Chip" Collier III, by seven grandchildren: Denise, Kari, Steven, Erica, Ashley, Clint, & Alex and two great-grandchildren: Rebecca & Alicia. Gloria is also survived by her sisters, Catherine Livingston and Martha Partin. Gloria lived her life for her family. She loved to be surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Gloria will be remembered most for her loving, teaching ways & most of all for being a friend and caretaker to all.

The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Stroke Club of the Shawnee Mission Medical Center Foundation, Attn: Foundation Office, 9100 W. 74th St., P.O. Box 2923, Shawnee Mission, Kansas 66201-9751

Visitation and Funeral Service

A visitation will be held at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee, Thursday from 6-8 p.m. with a funeral service Friday at 11 a.m. at the First Southern Baptist Church of Overland Park, followed by burial in Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens.
