Goldie Irene Bronson

Goldie Irene Bronson, 88, Glendale, Arizona, passed away in the arms of her children on Sunday, October 2, 2011, in Peoria, Arizona.

Goldie was born February 21, 1923, on the family farm in rural Smith County, Kansas, and was the fifth of eight children born to Ernest and Bertha Minkler. She was united in marriage to Ervin Bronson at Fort Riley, Kansas, in 1941.

Goldie was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Ervin in 1996. She is survived by her three children, Michael Bronson, Eldorado, Kansas, Brenda Bronson, Glendale, Arizona and Bruce Bronson, Olathe, Kansas; two step-sons, Richard Bronson, Sun City, Arizona and Alton Bronson, Coon Rapids, Minnesota; two grandsons, Brad Bronson, Shawnee, Kansas and Blaine Bronson, Overland Park, Kansas; and many other family and friends.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, Octoaber 6, 2011, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. Funeral service will be 1:00 pm, Friday, October 7, 2011, at the chapel; burial in the Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens.
