H.L. "Hank" Holsapple, Sr., 97 of Olathe, Kansas, passed away, January 13, 2013, at the Assisted Lifestyles of Olathe, Kansas.
Hank was born October 3, 1915, one mile east, two miles south of Winona, Kansas, in Logan County to Evert and Pearl Mae Holsapple. On January 18, 1941, Hank married Helen Rose Goebel in Winona, Kansas. He came to Kansas City in 1952. He retired from Coca-Cola in 1976. He and Helen were charter members of the St. Michael’s and All Angels Episcopal Church and later attended St. Thomas Episcopal Church. He was a fan of the Royals, Chiefs and Wildcats. Hank had a contagious sense of humor that resonated with all who knew him.
Hank was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Helen Rose Holsapple in 1991, his daughter and son-in-law Myra Ann and Frank Holland, great grandson, Samuel Holsapple, his second wife, Ramona Holsapple, and six siblings. Survivors include his daughter, Barbara Patterson; son, Lou Holsapple, Jr.; sister, Marcella Overholt; six grandchildren, Brenner (Kim) Holland, Bryan (Dana) Holland, Paige (Gary) Schoenwetter, Jeff (Danielle) Holsapple, Michael Pence and Kate (Jason) Miles and 15 great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 18, 2013, at the Amos Family Funeral Home and Crematory. Friends may call from 1-2:00 pm, Friday at the funeral home.
