Hadley E. Wolfrum, 82, Shawnee, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at Trinity Nursing & Rehab Nursing Center, Merriam, Kansas.
Hadley was born February 23, 1930, in Concordia, Missouri, to Joseph and Amelia Wolfrum. He attended the Universityof Kansas, receiving his BS degree in Mechanical Engineering. On June 5, 1955, Hadley married Wanda Mae Hamilton in Topeka, Kansas. He was employed with the Army Corp of Engineers, retiring in 1988. He was a member of the Shawnee United Methodist Church.
Hadley was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Marvin Wolfrum. Survivors include his wife, of 57 years, Wanda Mae Wolfrum; son, Chris Wolfrum, Shawnee, Kansas; daughter, Alice (Barry) Steger, Borger, Texas; sister, Ruth Schmidt, Tipton, Missouri; and three grandchildren, Alina, Arianna and Jake Steger all of Borger, Texas.
Visitation will be 9-9:30 a.m. Monday, November 26, 2012, at the Amos Family Funeral Home and Crematory, followed by a service at 9:30 a.m. The family will also receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m., Monday at the Roll Funeral Home, California, Missouri. Graveside service will be 2:30 p.m., Monday in the Rohrbach Cemetery, California, Missouri.
