Hannah Jean Forman, 90, of Overland Park, KS, passed away Friday, April 25, 2020. Funeral services will be private with burial in Leavenworth National Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to Wreaths Across America (wreathsacrossamerica.org)
Hannah was born July 20, 1929 in South Dakota to Harry and Theresa Ripple Schooler. She grew up in South Dakota and attended Arizona State where she met her husband Bob. They were married February 9, 1952 in Phoenix and embarked on a military career traveling the world together. After 64 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on January 26, 2015. Hannah was a member gamma phi beta, DAR, PEO, and Prime Timers Sunday school class at Colonial Presbyterian. She was volunteer for the Red-Cross at many Army posts, president of the Officers Wives Club, and docent for the KC Miniature museum. Hannah played in many bridge groups including a long- time group that provided many trips to Fort Sill Oklahoma. She was a hostess extraordinaire and a stickler for manners and correct grammar.
She is survived by her children Mona Pestock, Lenexa, KS, Nancy (Gene) Eastland, Paola, KS, and Rob (Shelley) Forman, Scottsdale, AZ; a sister Enid Raph, California; six grandchildren, Thomas (Rochelle), Daniel (Callie), Mathew, Benjamin (Marlie), Jack and Luke and three great grandchildren, Trace, Liam, Solaia. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher and her son-in-law Steve.
She will be greatly missed by her friends and family here on earth while welcomed by the same in heaven.
