Harold C. Ayers, 76, of Overland Park, passed Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at his home. He was born June 12, 1936, in Lynchburg, Virginia.
Harold is veteran of the US Army, serving in Korea. He retired from UPS after 30 years of service. He was also a member of United Methodist Church of the Resurrection. Harold was a loving husband and a living example of his faith.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Cecilia Puckett Ayers; parents, Anna Mae and Curtis Ayers; and son Curtis Ayers. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sue Young Ayers; his puppy, Taffy; daughter, Sharon Darlene Ayers, Roach Missouri; grandchild, Curtis Rand Ayers and his wife Samantha, Tonganoxie; great grandson, Tristan, Tonganoxie; step children, Sheryl Todd and her husband Gary Todd, Lenexa, Mary Weilert and her husband Tim Weilert, Chanute, Ed Young and his wife Teresa Young, Eudora; step grandchildren, Ben Lindner and his wife Kari Lindner, Olathe, Adam Weilert and his wife Kristin Weilert, Chanute, Amy Weilert, Alexander Weilert, Chanute, Hope Young, Elizabeth Young, Eudora; brother, Malcolm Ayers and his wife Jean Ayers, Lynchburg Virginia; and sisters, Shirley Ayers, Charlotte, North Carolina, and Celia Morrison and her husband Quinn, Vienna, Virginia.
Private funeral services were held.
