Harold Otis “Hal” Brents, Jr.

Harold Otis "Hal" Brents, Jr., 67, Kansas City, KS passed away Friday, Oct. 5, 2018 at his home.

Hal was born Oct. 11, 1950 in Kansas City, KS to Harold O. and Margaret (Ross) Brents. He was a 1968 graduate of Wyandotte High School. He was employed with the Insurance Auto Auctions. He enjoyed doing small jobs for Team Aero and Eurotec. Hal was an avid football, baseball and basketball fan, especially KU Basketball, Green Bay Packers and Baltimore Orioles. His favorite pastime was enjoying his grandson's sporting events.

Hal was preceded in death by his parents and son, Sean Michael Brents. Survivors include his daughter, Heather (Jeff) Altendorf, Kansas City, MO; her mother, Debbie Ball, Olathe, KS; two brothers, Mike (Teresa) Brents and Ronald Brents, all of Kansas City, KS; sister, Andrea Ridgley, Culver City, CA; and two grandchildren, Miranda Jordan Beyer, Austin, TX and Van Ace Altendorf, Kansas City, MO.

Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12 at the Amos Family Funeral Home; burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
