Harry Williams Trotman

Harry Williams Trotman, 89, of Shawnee, passed away Thursday, August 12, 2010 at Trinity Nursing and Rehab in Merriam.

Harry was born December 21, 1920, in Haddenfield, New Jersey to the late Frank and Helen Trotman. He attended Temple University briefly before joining the United States Army Air Corps. In 1944 Harry married Marjorie E. Duncan while stationed at Sedalia Army Air Base, which is currently Whiteman Air Base. Harry served as a pilot in the Army Air Corps and later the Air Force before retiring in 1985. Harry was the Band Leader of the Harry Trotman Orchestra, and owned and operated Trotman Music from 1975 to 1986.

Harry is preceded by his wife of 48 years, Marjorie. He is survived by his daughter, Beth Behrens and her husband Robert; two grandchildren, Timothy and Kristina; and three great grandchildren Dylan, Bella, and Will.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, August 16, 2010, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 17, 2010, at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 5325 Nieman Road, Shawnee, Kansas 66203.
