Helen M. DeNoon, 91, of Overland Park, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at home.
Helen was born July 13, 1927 to the late William and Josephine Frazier in Shawnee, KS. Helen was a longtime Shawnee resident, she graduated from Shawnee Mission Rural High School in 1945. Shortly after graduation, Helen met Richard E. DeNoon at a softball game. They were married April 12, 1947.
She was a loving mother, and always found the time to support her three children in all the school activities. While her children were in school, Helen served as a cook for Greenwood Grade School. Helen worked as a customer service representative for Suburban Propane before retiring in 1997 after almost 30 years of service. She was an avid Denver Bronco's and John Elway fan. Helen also loved watching KU Basketball.
Helen is also preceded in death by her three brothers, William, Lavon and Eugene Frazier. She is survived by her three children, Wm. Michael DeNoon and wife Diane; Paul E. DeNoon and wife Toni; Janet DeNoon; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
A celebration of Helen's life will be held Saturday, September 1, 2018 from 1-5pm at Quivira Falls, 10990 Westgate Street, Overland Park, KS 66210.
