Helen Jane Hedstrom, 91, of Prairie Village, passed away Friday, November 9, 2012.
Helen was born December 21, 1920 in Lamar, Iowa, to the late William and Agnes Kandyba.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Hedstrom.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Carol Barbour and husband Dick; a son, Le Hedstrom and wife Carol; four grandchildren, David Barbour and wife Christine, Steve Barbour and wife Brenda, Julie Scherzer and husband Pat, Darrin Barbour and wife Connie; eight great grandchildren, Cameron Barbour, Alyssa Barbour, Kaili Barbour, Lauren Barbour, Olivia Barbour, Alexa Samuel, Grady Barbour, Bristol Barbour; and one great great grandchild, Caleb Barbour.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 7231 Mission Rd., Prairie Village, KS66208. Burial will follow at Resurrection Mausoleum.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
