Helen Lucille Skinner

Helen Lucille Skinner, 93, of Shawnee, KS, passed away on August 13, 2018. She was born on April 30, 1925, in Rogers, Arkansas to Frank and Mary Copeland. Helen is survived by her sisters, Elsie Winters, Dorothy Cook, Ruth Honeywell; nieces, Rachel Winters, Rebecca Smith, Deborah Strout, Joni Honeywell; 6 great nieces/nephews and 9 great-great nieces/nephews.

She was a graduate of Shawnee Mission North High School, where she received several awards for her secretarial skills and played on the girls' basketball team. Helen spent her professional career as a book keeper, working in retail. She was incredibly talented with a passion for writing poetry and songs. In her later years, Helen enjoyed doing puzzles and birdwatching. She spent her life serving the Lord and always made sure to include her family and friends in daily prayer.
