Henry (Hank) Lee Wakefield went to be with his Lord and Savior at his home on November 13, 2015.

Henry was born in Dallas, TX on January 30, 1941 to Bill and Lois Wakefield. He met his wife, Carol Smith, in Junior High and they married on June 24, 1961. Hank spent 38 years in the Dallas Metro area working at Southwestern Bell/AT&T with the last year and a half in Shawnee, KS where he and his wife Carol retired.

Hank and Carol were charter members of Lenexa Baptist Church in Lenexa, KS. Hank served in the Children’s Ministry Department at Lenexa for the last 25 years pouring the love of Jesus into children’s lives.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years Carol; brother Ricky Wakefield of Dallas; sons, John (Denise), Rob, and Wes (Amber); 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Celebration of Life Services

A celebration of Hanks life will be held at Lenexa Baptist Church, 15320 W 87th Street Parkway, Lenexa, Kansas 66219 on November 21, 2015 at 10:00 a.m.
