Ida Dell Jackson

Ida Jackson, 80, of Merriam, KS, passed away, Saturday, April 18, 2015 at her home.

Ida was born March 12, 1935 in Chatham, Louisiana to Murphy James (M.J.) and Mittie Williams Harris. She worked as a dietary manager for the Shawnee Mission School District. She was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Merriam.

She is survived by her husband, Sandy Jackson; her children, James (Valerie) Jackson, Brenda Jackson, Linda Jackson, Melanie (Darron) Gadson, and Queen Jackson; her grandchildren, Justin, Valencia, Ronnell, Jr., Tera, Mia, and Darron, Jr; a great granddaughter, Kamilah and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Monday, April 27, 2015 at the Amos Family Funeral Home with burial in Pleasant View Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 - 5 p.m., Sunday, April 26, 2015 at the funeral home.
