Miss Isabelle “Izzy” Grace Ford, 16, of Shawnee, Kansas, joined the company of angels on August 19, 2021.
Izzy was born in Shawnee, Kansas on February 8, 2005. She is survived by: her loving parents, Brandon and Stacy Ford and her best friend and sister Marley. Additionally by her grandparents: Chuck and Cindy Ford, Sandy and Leon Kremer and Jean and Fred Tullos. As well as her beloved aunts and uncles: Haley and Trent Keller and Jeff and Jess Tullos along with Jodee and Andrew White, Brian and Jacqui Kremer, Joann and DC Calvin, Kevin and Angela Kremer, Carol and Jerrad Bahr.
Izzy’s cousins were like siblings to her; Kaden, Lydia and Collin and Bailey and Taylor. Rory and Cora, Jack and Stevie, Korah and Caleb, Kody, Tristen, Callista, Bradyn, and Olivia, and Anna and Luke.
Izzy attended Prairie Ridge Elementary School from K-5, Monticello Trails Middle School from 6-8 and Saint James Academy through her Junior year.
The choice to go to Saint James Academy was an impactful one that was made by Izzy. She was welcomed with open arms by the faculty and student body and loved the sense of community the school provided. She also found a renewed spiritual connection to Christ and the Holy Spirit.
Izzy was involved in gymnastics and cheer at a young age but her true love was Lacrosse. She played on a competitive club team and for SJA. She student-managed the SJA boys freshmen basketball team, and participated in youth group at Westside Family Church.
Izzy was a champion of the underdog. She loved anything that had to do with animals, whether it was snuggling Jas and Waylon or watching the PSAs for animal protection. Izzy dreamed of one day being a veterinarian.
Isabelle is preceded in death by her loving great grandparents.
A celebration of life will include: Visitation at Saint James Academy on Wednesday, August 25th from 5:30-7:30 pm. Funeral services will be held at Westside Family Church on Thursday, August 26th at 10:00 am.
