Ivan B. Rogers

Ivan B. Rogers, 89, of Merriam, Kansas, passed away, Monday, October 21, 2013.

Ivan was born in Moundville, Missouri. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII and the Korean War. He retired from Johnson County Community College. Ivan was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Shawnee American Legion, and the VFW. He was also a coin collector and a family history buff.

His wife, Carolyn Rogers, preceded him in death on October 7, 2012. He is survived by his daughter, Paula Rogers-Fedor and her husband, Ted Fedor; a granddaughter, Ashley Hauber and her husband, Eric and their children, George, Charlie, and Penelope; his siblings and many nieces and nephews.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, October 24, 2013, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:30 - 10:30 a.m., Thursday at the church.

The family suggests contributions to the Strawberry Hill Museum, 720 N. 4th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66101.
