Ivan W. Wells

Ivan W. Wells, 88, of Merriam, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2011.

Ivan was born October 7, 1923, in Hale, Missouri. He worked for TWA for over 40 years as an Inspection Supervisor, retiring in 1983. Ivan served in the US Army during WWII. He was married to his wife of 60 years, Doris Marie Boss who preceded him in death. They were both proud members of Merriam Christian Church.

Ivan is survived by his son Gary Wells and wife Teri; his daughter Nancy McCoy and husband Wes; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers Donald and Richard Wells; and sister Joan Rohr. Ivan was preceded in death by sisters June Martin and Helen Louise Wells.

Ivan made a biological donation to further Parkinson's Research at The Indiana University School of Medicine.

A visitation will be held from 11:00-12:00 p.m., Saturday, November 12, 2011, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. with burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
