Jacquelyn Kay Haynie, 79, of Shawnee, Kansas died Monday, February 14, 2022, at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission.
A funeral service will be 2:30 pm, Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Amos Family Funeral Home with a visitation from 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm prior to the service. Burial in the Sunset Memory Gardens of Leavenworth.
Jackie was born on December 10, 1942, to John E. and Ruby J. (Carpenter) North in Leavenworth, Kansas. She graduated from Leavenworth High School in 1960 and St. Luke’s Nursing School in 1962.
Jackie was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church and loved her church family.
Jackie worked as a nurse for thirty years, mostly in pediatrics. She had a passion for gardening, which she got from her beloved grandmother. Jackie loved all animals and supported organizations which cared for the animals in most need. She enjoyed listening to music and looking at funny animal videos. These brought her much joy, as did her cats, Bogie and Callie.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Larrie Haynie; three children, Paula Loennig (Doug), Stacey Rowell (Nicky) and Phillip Haynie (Jane); 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.
