James R. Berning

James R. Berning, 88, Shawnee, Kansas, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 19, 2012, at Shawnee Hills Senior Living, Shawnee, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine T. Berning in 2003. Survivors include his daughter, Susan Phillips, Crystal Lake, Illinois;s son, Barton (Leslie) Berning, Shawnee, Kansas; five grandchildren, Kristin (Jon) Davis of Olathe, Kansas, Jenna and James Phillips of Chicago, Illinois, Bennett (Kristen) Berning of Kansas City, Kansas and Grant Berning of Shawnee, Kansas; and two great grandsons, Connor and Henry Davis of Olathe, Kansas.

A memorial service will occur at a later date.
