James J. Casey (aka Dad, Jimmy, Grandpaw, Case, Casey, and Jimmie Joe), 82, of Kansas City, MO, passed away on January 18, 2016 at John Knox Village. He was born on November 29, 1933 in St. Paul, MN, to James J. Sr. and Marion Casey (Harrington). Jim was a lithographer and member of Local #235 for over 40 years. Dad/Grandpaw taught his family valuable life lessons; love your family, have faith in God, work hard/compete harder and have fun doing it. He will be missed and now can peacefully rest. "Death leaves us heartache no one can heal, love leaves us memories no one can steal." Jim was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Barbara A. Casey (Cusack) and son, Kevin Casey. He is survived by daughters, Shannon Jones, Maureen Bergschnieder (Jay), sons, Michael Casey (Yolanda), Timothy Casey (Barbara), 5 grandchildren, Casey Jones, Tyler Jones, Emma Casey, Mikaela Casey and Brianna Casey. and 2 great grandchildren, Alex Jones and Brody Jones. The family would like to express special thanks to lifelong hooligan buddies, Fitz, Mac and Zam.

Services

A visitation will be held Friday from 9:30-11:00 am at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Shawnee, KS. Mass will immediately follow, starting at 11:00 am.
