James L. Hall

James "Jim" Lee Hall of Shawnee, KS, travelled home to his heavenly father on Tues., April 24, 2012. Free from the ailments that caused him discomfort and narrowed his movement, today he is dancing with the angels. His earthly mother and father, Alberta and Chester, and his brother Roger will assuredly welcome Jim.

Jim was a lifelong resident of the Shawnee, Kansas, area where he attended Flint Elementary, Shawnee Elementary, Hocker Grove Junior High, and graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School in 1968. A respected and dedicated employee, Jim held numerous positions during his 40 years of service at Hallmark Cards. He worshiped and served throughout his life at Salem Lutheran Church in Lenexa, Kansas.

Although Jim has left us, by living in the hearts he left behind, he will never truly die. Among those hearts is his cousin Mary Hahner, who cared for him with placidity and tenderness, particularly in his latter years. Jim also leaves behind his cousin John and wife Donna Murphy, close friends Jackie Julian, Aaron Covell, and numerous other friends and relatives whose lives he touched.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be from 4-6 pm, Sun., April 29, 2012, at the Amos Family Funeral Home and Crematory. Funeral service will be at 10 am, Mon., April 30, 2012, at Salem Lutheran Church. Burial to follow at Johnson County Memorial Gardens, Overland Park, KS. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the church, or to Animal Haven; 9800 W. 67th St., Shawnee KS, 66203.
